Mesotherapy Fat Reduction
Injections used to reduce small, localised fat deposits such as beneath the chin or along the jowl.
What it is
A solution is injected directly into a small, well-defined fat deposit with the intention of reducing it. It is used for limited areas such as beneath the chin or along the jowl.
How it works
The solution disrupts fat cells locally; the material released is then cleared by the body over the following weeks. Swelling afterwards is expected and is part of that process rather than a sign of a problem.
Important limitations
This is not a weight-loss treatment and is not suitable for large areas. Where skin laxity is the main issue, reducing the underlying fat can make the appearance worse rather than better — which is why assessment before treatment matters. More than one session is usually required, and results vary.
Safety information
All medical procedures carry risk. The points below are general and are not a substitute for an individual assessment.
Possible side effects
Marked swelling, bruising, tenderness, firmness or numbness in the treated area. Less commonly, irregular contour, prolonged swelling, or injury to nearby structures.
May not be suitable if
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, infection at the treatment site, significant skin laxity where fat reduction would worsen the appearance, bleeding disorders, or relevant systemic illness without medical clearance.
