IntimaLase
A non-surgical Er:YAG laser treatment for vaginal laxity, carried out in a private consultation setting.
What it is
IntimaLase is a non-surgical laser treatment for vaginal laxity, which can follow childbirth or occur with age. It is carried out in a private consultation setting and takes a short time.
How it works
Er:YAG laser energy is applied to the vaginal wall to heat the tissue in a controlled way. The intention is to stimulate collagen remodelling in the following weeks. A course of sessions is usual.
Before considering this treatment
Symptoms in this area can have several causes, and some require gynaecological assessment rather than a laser treatment. A proper history and examination come first, and referral is made where that is the appropriate step. Results vary between individuals and are not guaranteed.
