Restylane Skinboosters
Stabilised hyaluronic acid injected in small deposits to improve skin hydration and smoothness rather than to add volume.
What it is
Skinboosters are stabilised hyaluronic acid placed in many small deposits through the treatment area. Unlike a contouring filler, the intention is to improve the quality and hydration of the skin rather than to project or reshape it.
How it works
Hyaluronic acid binds water. Distributed through the skin in small amounts, it increases hydration and can improve smoothness and suppleness. The product is gradually broken down by the body, so the effect is not permanent and maintenance is required.
What to expect
- An initial course of sessions, then maintenance at intervals
- Visible bumps for a short period after each session
- Bruising is common and settles within a few days
- Change in skin quality develops gradually
